My Home Studio in Southwest Cape Coral, FL

All first birthday sessions take place in my studio in Southwest Cape Coral. The space is intentionally designed to feel calm, neutral, and welcoming.

The studio aesthetic is soft and minimal so your baby remains the focus. No bold backdrops or distracting props. Just beautiful light, simple textures, and a relaxed environment where your little one can explore and play comfortably.

Because the sessions take place indoors, you never have to worry about weather, heat, wind or shooting around perfect light. Everything is controlled and stress free and we can work around your baby’s schedule!

First Birthday Photoshoot Part One: Natural Play

We always begin with a more natural, dressed down look. This allows me to capture all those sweet baby details you never want to forget. The chubby rolls, tiny fingers, curious expressions, and the way they move at this stage.

First Birthday Photoshoot Part Two: Simple Toys and Personality

Next, we transition into a white or neutral outfit. White photographs beautifully and keeps the images classic for years to come.

We incorporate simple, neutral toys and elements like bubbles to help your baby relax and let their personality shine. This part of the session often brings out giggles, big smiles, and those expressive looks parents know so well.

Most first birthday sessions include these three parts so we can fully document your baby’s personality from start to finish.

First Birthday Photoshoot Part 3: The Cake Smash

If mom and dad approve, we finish with the cake smash.

I use cakes with minimal icing to cut down on sugar while still giving us that soft, beautiful look in photos. The focus is on your baby enjoying the experience. Some dive right in, others take their time. Either way, it is always adorable.

And do not worry. We will rinse them off before you head home.
