Because I primarily photograph families on vacation, most of my sessions take place at the beach. Tourists (understandably) want to be photographed by the ocean where warm gulf water, beautiful wildlife and unmatched sunsets create the perfect atmosphere for family portraits. And since there are no beaches in Cape Coral (other than the Yacht Club Beach what I call the redneck beach), I have to go outside of the city to Naples, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva, etc. for my sessions. While it doesn’t bother me one bit, I’m still excited when I get the opportunity to shoot close to home at a non-beach location.
This local family wanted their maternity photoshoot to look like we were in Bali. This epic location, full of luscious palm trees, was the perfect fit. Here are a few of my favorite moments from their session.
