As a Cape Coral Family Photographer, I mostly work with families visiting Southwest Florida on vacation so I don’t get the chance to photograph many local families. Because of this, it’s always a treat when I do! I’ve know this family for a couple of years now. They’ve expressed interest in doing a family photoshoot with me so I was thrilled to see their inquiry come in.

They originally considered doing a session when their little guy turned one, but decided to wait until he was walking. And let me tell you, this little guy walked, and walked, and walked! He did not stop moving until the very end of the session. I’m not sure if he was mesmerized by the pastel colors in the sunset or exhasuted!

I tell my clients that have children under the age of four, “the session will feel a little chaotic, but trust me, I am capturing so much beauty in the chaos.” Instead of posing or setting up every shot, I let the kids lead. This keeps them happy and allows their personalities show. We’ll steal snuggles and kisses when the moments present themselves, but otherwise we go with the flow!

You won’t find this Cape Coral Family Photographer making crazy faces to get your kids to stare into my camera. That’s just not my style. I encourage my clients to play like they would on a normal night, while I document and give subtle prompts.
