One of the best things about being a Fort Myers Photographer is the beauty of watching my clients grow. Watching your littles go from crawling, to sitting, to walking, watching my couples get engaged, watching women become moms and welcome their babies into the world, it’s so beautiful to be a part of their lives. This is something I don’t take lightly. I can’t imagine how much stronger these connections will be a few years from now.

This new mom discovered me early on in her pregnancy and schedule a maternity session with me during late summer. We actually had to move her session back a month so that her baby bump could get a little bigger. On the day of the session, the weather was glorious on Fort Myers Beach. This was the first sunny evening since around April. During Hurricane season, it rans every evening around sunset, so I was thrilled to see the sun set again! I thought we were done with stormy season but I had no idea what was headed our way. This maternity photoshoot was 10 days before hurricane Ian made landfall in this very spot.

Seven months later, this beach has still not reopened but I’ve found other beautiful places to shoot. So when this mom reached out to book a motherhood session, I knew the perfect spot in Fort Myers, Florida.

Full of vibrant greens and beautiful architecture, this historic area is a dream. Mom borrowed dresses from my client closet again and went with two looks. Here are a few of my favorites from this motherhood portrait session.
