Sarah Wagner is a couple + family + maternity photographer based in Southwest Florida. After spending 8 years building over 40 brands through social media and influencer marketing, she left her marketing career to follow her dream of being a full-time photographer and photography business educator.
The heart behind chasing creative education
Growing up, I wasn't the popular girl. I was lower middle-class, extremely sheltered and struggled to find a circle of friends. My sophomore year of high school I left my first day of cross country practice in tears after standing by myself while all the other girls stood in an unwelcoming circle and gushed about their summer.
My mom urged me to quit, but I sucked in my tears and said, "If you can't be them, beat them." And so I did (and some of the boys too)! I continued to turn the pain of rejection into a drive to succeed. I excelled in the classroom and became a very successful runner going on to run D1 with a full-ride to Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. I went from being a cast-out to someone people not only knew, but respected. As a result, I started to find my worth in achievements. This defined me for years until eventually, after graduating and chasing the world's version of success, I cracked.
At my lowest point, when I felt like I had lost all purpose, I took a step back to reset. During a time of healing, I dove into photography (something I had always loved). It was then that I discovered my purpose. I had and still have absolute clarity that I am here to help others feel seen and heard. To use my experiences and skills to teach them practical life-changing tools, techniques and strategies for success in life and business and to help them realize just how capable and loved they are.
what makes my workshops different
So many people have felt inadequate or burnt out, simply because they lack the tools and knowledge needed to create a successful business that doesn't take over their entire lives. My workshops focus equally on the business and artistic aspects of being a photographer AND bring people together so that they have a community of resources and peers by their side on this journey of life and entrepreneurship.
